Hi, I have been walking/jogging for the past month or so building up my jogging as I go. I managed 16 mins the other night which I was extremely proud of as I couldn't jog for a minute before without almost collapsing! When I went out the next day I had to stop after 6 mins as I just felt so sore is this normal enough?
I went earlier in the day, I find I can do better at night, does anyone else notice this in their training?
Also with warm up I usually walk for about 10 before starting to jog, is this enough?
Since I started I get a pain in my left leg to the right side of my shin, is there certain stretches I can warm it up and maybe reduce the pain?
I'm sorry for the rambling post, I have a lot of questions!!

You might find some answers in here

I'd suggest taking a rest day in between each run at this stage, rather than going out two days in a row. Your ten minute walk is a good warmup, that should be all you need. Take it easy, don't push too fast, just try to run consistently 3/4 times a week and you'll improve rapidly over the next few months.

thanks RayCun took a rest day yesterday and leg feels a lot better, had been aiming to get out about 5 times a week so might cut it back for a few weeks and see how I get on.
