Was given a super full choke during the week..
I usually only use mod choke birds/rabbits...

Is there much point in using it?..

Do I gain much extra distance wise?? Would I get 10 yards more?..

    Never shoot geese really.

I had one for my mossberg and I think I used it twice. Waste of time IMO, too many wasted shots and the patterns were all over the shop. If I want to go for high flying duck I just use magnums. Maybe I'm just not a great shot but I don't bother with anything above full anymore, and even that one stays in the pocket unless I have a shot at charlie. I use the mod or imp.cyl. for almost everything these days.

I've Extra full for my Xtrema. only use it with bb's for foxes and works great. Excellent killing power at extended ranges

    aurin,
Get some poster sized paper and pattern the two chokes at say 30 and 40ya to see what your combo is doing.

I would expect going from a M to XF should definitely give you more range, especially 10ya.

I like the turkey chokes myself.
