    if you check adverts.ie there is a really nice looking meade 6" for €450. You could probably haggle and get it down but nice scope as my friend has similar. If you don't want one with all the tracking the dobsonian 8" looks nice on adverts also. I had a similar dtg dobsonian a few years ago and i could see a lot and was able to take some nice pics with it. Bit chunky though.

    What do you want your scope for? I have the 8" dobsonian version from Skywatcher and I've nothing but good things to say about it. Optics are a great bang for your buck. The Eq mount will make tracking alot easier, which is the only drawback from my old dobsonian.
