Looking at flights which have a bmi as part of the journey from dublin to london.

With BA looking like buying them I would be worried about what could happen to the flights as BA have a coshare with EI already but the flight would be BMI to connect with Virgin.

Would you book a flight with BMI with the uncertainty with BMI flights from Dublin as I would expect the route to go or seriously reduced

Even If the bmi route goes (and it won't for months yet) they'll rebook you on to an EI flight I'd imagine

Yes please do continue to book with them,it ensures competition.
I intend to book a few flights with them in the coming weeks

    Anyway-From BMI friday,I got this:

    Dear Blackius,

We’d like to advise you that the EU Competition Authority has today approved the sale of bmi to IAG. We are very aware that Diamond Club members want to know what will happen to their accounts when bmi is acquired by British Airways.

The deal between bmi and British Airways is due to be completed around 20 April 2012. We would like to reassure you that we plan to operate our summer schedule as normal and you can continue to earn and redeem Diamond Club miles during this period.

We are working together to announce a Diamond Club partnership with British Airways. This will include the ability to earn and redeem Diamond Club destinations miles across the bmi and BA networks.
We will be communicating regularly with you as more information becomes available and flybmi.com will also be updated with the latest information.
    Regards

    Keeley Downing
    Diamond Club Manager

If anything, I'd imagine BA would seek to retain BD DUB-LHR as a stand alone route and lucrative feeder to its own onward connections, and may reduce reliance on EI codeshare accordingly.
