Will my JSA stop if I start a part time course?

To clarify, I'm 20 and have been under JSA for a month now. I am hopefully starting a course in October, with the timetable as follows:

Monday and Wednesday 19:00-22:00 and Saturday 11:00-16:00

That's a total of 10 hours a week. Is it possible at all to get my JSA while on the course? Thanks.

Yes, you could do this course under the Back to Education - Part Time Education Option and still retain your JSA.

You need to inform the Social Welfare Office about the course and fill out a form with details of course and times etc. Under this arrangement you will not receive any additional payment. You will still need to be looking for employment and available to take it up. You will continue to sign on every month and your payment will still continue to be paid into the Post Office.
