sometimes when coming to a full stop I'm feeling a slight shudder in the brake pedal. after i stop there is a humming or spinning noise that lasts for about 3-4 seconds. the brake pads are good, and the disks look ok.
    any ideas, thanks..

Sounds like the ABS engaging. Is it completely random or does it happen when braking quicker or in the wet?

What's the condition of your tyres?

It could be either your ABS pump working its magic, or you left an old can of dutch gold rolling around in the boot.

its completely random. it can happen while braking hard or driving at 5 mph in traffic.
i suppose the shudder could be the abs, but what about the spinning/humming noise when I'm fully stopped?

p.s. tyres are good and it happens a couple times a day, wet or dry.

get the hub sensors, and reluctor rings checked. The abs is picking up a locked up (skidding) wheel, so the noise you here is the pump modulating the force to the brake calipers to stop the wheel locking up and causing a skid.
the reluctor rings have a regular stepped patern to the teeth, when the wheels are turning this give the abs unit a regular pulsed input via the hub sensor.
So broken teeth could cause an irregular input ( a gap), the abs unit sees this as a locked up wheel, and does it's business. Dirty or out of position sensor could do it either.
