L lysine for cats

    I was advised to give one of my cats l lysine to help keep the cat flu virus from flaring up. I bought the tablets in a health food store and crushed them into a powder to sprinkle on his food but I have absolutely no idea how much I should give him! Can anyone help?!

    I give it to my cat he has calcivirus so when he has flare up give him 1/4 tab twice daily for 2 weeks then he gets rotating week on/off .
