quick question!!!

i'm getting a new set of wheels , i was going to get a new cassette rather than change the one on the old wheels , the cassette is off the shimano sora group set(9 speed cassette) , i've seen an ultragra 9 speed cassette on chain reaction on offer , will it fit the rest of the group set or will i have to get the same (sora) as whats on the old wheel ...i've confused myself here !!
any advive would get you an internet pint ..:)

All Shimano 9 speed components are interchangeable, there shouldn't be a problem.

i recently bought a 9 speed cassette (part of sora chainset). it specifically said to use only hg53, hg73 chains. 531-does this mean ultegra chain is compatible despite what the shimano instruction said?

Ultegra 9 speed is compatible but not the newer ultegra 10 speed. You can also use sram 9 speed which chain reaction have on sale at the minute (pc991).
