Overhead elec sparks

    So most would be familiar with the blue sparks from the lines on the DART etc.

    Today driving home in new zealand I noticed the sparks from the lines here are green, any idea why?

    What direction does the water in the toilet swirl when you flush? oh and it is probably a different voltage to that used here or the cables have some mineral or compound included in their manufacture to possibly reduce arcing/sparcks which causes the sparks to appear green?

    Wiki says they use the same voltage as here for railway- 1500v.
