Just wondering can I use me old sheep tags from a few years ago for lambs going to mart or factory.

They won't be used for replacements anyway.

Just curious as I have not heard or read about them been put out of use if you still have some?

I don't believe so. They'll need to the new type (in sheep born in 2010 and after I think). So under nine months old one non electronic tag will do (new, not old type) over nine months old then one non electronic and one electronic tag. Sheep born previous to 2010 are fine with the tags that are in them.

Ah I was just wondering as I have a box left of them.

Didn't use them since early 2010, having used the new tags.

Seems like they'll be put in the attic!

Are they those small metal tags??

No we're on about the old white tags.

You can use them to go to slaughter, or if they are permanent tags you can use them when replacing missing tags on sheep born prior to 2010
