Basically I've done first year in Mechanical Engineering Level 7, and its not going well. I've no interest in it whatsoever. So I was wondering what way would I go about changing courses? Do I drop out? And if I change courses will I get the grant again next year? Thanks in advance guys!!:)

Have a chat to the head of mechanical engineering, you might be able to change course internally through the college rather than reapplying through the cao again. Are you interested in other aspects of engineering or do you want to change into another discipline completely?
