Portrush airshow 2012

    So It's on the 8-9th of September this year.

    Line up so far:
    • TheBlades
    • Red Arrows
    • RAF Tucano
    • RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team
    • RAF Hawk
    So far so good...hopefully the line up will get even better :)

    Also confirmed are the BBMF with a spitfire and a hurricane also on the Swip teams site as a Pyro display ?

    Im hopeing vulcan will be able to show up this year too...
    It says on the SWIP team's website that they will be performing in portrush this year, though there's nothing about them on "Portrush airshow" facebook and twitter pages.

    An uncommon sight in Northern Ireland, the RAF search and rescue Sea King from RAF Valley will be with us in September.

    the vulcan would be really great to see !! , the noise and power of thse engines as the USA would say AWESOME

    RAF King Air will make its NI debut at the #Portrush airshow in September.

    it may be old news by now but just found out.the red arrows are down to 7 pilots / aircraft for the 2012 season due to the 2 pilots that were sadly killed over the recent few months and their only female pilot [her name escapes me...kirsty something or other] has quit the team following stress due to the above:(

    Yup old news :)There even was a seperate thread about red's having only 7 pilots left.

    SWIP Team, The RV8tors, Belgian Airforce A109 confirmed for september.
    Too bad that F16 is not comming this year...

    doh!!:),not to worry. im sure it will be no problem for the organisers to fill that gap with something else similar [tornado,typhoon etc] and you never know,it [the belgian f-16] might turn up in the end:)

    Any more news apart from what is up on the website regarding the airshow?

    Do there be usually more aircraft taking part in it, as it does seem quite a small lineup so far compared to other years as i have been told.

    Hoping to attend this year, will be the first time heading up.

    Hi B757, have a look at their facebook/twitter page. They usually have some update atleast once a weak. The last time I'we looked not every a/c was listed on their page.
