If the idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito being Twins back in the 1988 comedy was just too wacky, then you'll want to buckle your seatbelts. Heat Vision has news that 24 years later, a sequel is on the way. However, rather than just a reunion of the big action star and the tiny funnyman, the new film will be called Triplets and will make Eddie Murphy apart of this strange family. In the original film, the twins were born in a secret lab somewhere in the Western hemisphere, so it's not that ridiculous for them to have an African American brother, and the concept sounds crazy enough to work as a solid comedy sequel.

I had the pleasure of hearing about this project last August while visiting the set of The Last Stand, but we were unable to confirm whether or not myself and the other writers on set would be allowed to break the story. Needless to say, at first we thought Schwarzenegger was joking when he mentioned it, but when he elaborated on the idea, it became all too real, but not any less of a funny concept. Twins was quite a successful and hailed comedy, and as someone who has been eager for Schwarzenegger to return to comedy along with his slew of action roles, this is just what the doctor ordered. There's no director attached yet, or a script for that matter, but the original helmer, Ivan Reitman, will still produce. Sound fun?

Universal and Montecito Picture Co. are hoping to develop a doozy of a follow-up to the 1988 hit comedy that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito that would reunite the two stars. But wait, there’s a twist: In the new scenario, Eddie Murphy would act as a third brother.

I would love to hear whoever came up with this idea try and sell it.

This is going to be the best movie ever made. Three cheesy actors from the 80s in one film with a ridiculous plot which makes no sense, I love it already.
