    Hi all,

I have a mid 2009 unibody aluminium MBP. It has a regular HDD and 2GB RAM.

I thought about upgrading the HDD to an SSD and swapping the 2GB of RAM for 8GB(essentially as it's so cheap, i thought, why not just go to 8 instead of 4)

Could anyone confirm that the following SSD and RAM are compatibale with the mid 2009 unibody MBP please?

    RAM

    SSD

Any other comments, suggestions or criticisms all welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Go to http://www.crucial.com/eu/apple/ and you can put in your exact model and see for yourself. You could decide to purchase directly (rather than through Amazon) - prices will increase very slightly from those shown once you select Ireland as your country (due to vat) but delivery is free so at least you can compare.
