    Hi,

Does anyone know if you have an annual commuter ticket do you still have to tag off and on or do you just have to use it to get through gates when they are closed?

    Thanks

Season ticket holders don't have to tag off unless exit validation is in force (i.e. you'll have to do it to get through the gates at Central Dublin stations, but in the suburbs you don't have to do it at stations which have a barrier less exit, like most Maynooth line stations for instance).

Tagging off is needed for e-purse users so as the correct fare's deducted. Season ticket holders have already paid their fare so the only reason to do it is to get through the barriers.
