My running style is so bad I'm a mixture of a number of these guys and not in a positive way :)

I was only thinking of starting a similar thread a few weeks ago when running up behind this guy who did this weird little shimmy every few steps.

It got me thinking what little quirks I have. I run while giving the thumbs up sign with my right hand. Even if I tuck the rogue thumb into my hand it works its way out within a few metres.

On the plus side, everyone I run towards must think I'm a very friendly chap.

Not sure if I need to be looking for medical advice, but based on the video evidence from the finish line at Bohermeen I fear I may be The Dandy... is it ever too late?

To make us all feel worse about our form and speed they kept splicing the highlights on the video with short snippets of Gary O'Hanlon gliding down the road.

some running styles can be very annoying to run beside when you are on the edge in a race , like the grunting in tennis i would imagine

I find that the gals in general have much better styles and are easier to run with.

In my last race I was running beside a guy who held his arms up like you would if you were doing an impression of a bird flapping its wings! I kept glancing over expecting him to take off at any minute.

One I could add to the list from seeing it at a few runs is the runner who looks like they are running over really tiny hurdles and kicks their feet out to the sides from below the knee.

Not describing it very well, but cant be very efficient or kind on the joints.

Thats hilarious, Id like to say Im one of them, but Im probably even more uncoordinated than the worst of them!

I want to be the T-1000. Just for the facial expression at the beginning.

Sadly I think I hold my arms like that - when I run with others I'm always nudging them unintentionally. It must be terribly annoying. It may also explain why I do most of my running on my own! My legs most resemble "the stiffy" from that video. Overall it's not a good look.

Luckily I don't think I resemble any of these but I am one of the dreaded heavy breathers which I know is pet hate of some posters here. Recently I've noticed too that when I'm going at a decent pace I tend to flap my lips like a horse when exhaling. It can't sound too appealing but we all have our little quirks as someone said earlier.

Did you run the MSB 5k? :pac:
