rear cog problem or cranks?

    Hi again all.

ok I have a CUBE AMS 100 pro, this bike is known for its dodgy freehubs, so next wednesday im taking mine to CRC and they are installing a new shimano hub for me for free as i am having problems with mine.

at the minute my bike is working, however. The rear cassette rocks a little when i push it back and forth with my fingers. I am not to worried about this as i no this will get fixed next week with the new hub.

However.... there is a noise coming from my Front gears ( at least it sounds it) it almost like a creaky noise. I have taken the chain of the front chain rings and spun the cranks and they spin freely and noise free, the pedals are properly secure and done. As soon as i put the chain on the rings the noise starts again. Could this be because the rear cassette is a little loose and it will all be fine when i get my new hub?

I have done a little research and i think its something called "chainline" and one of the problems mentioned was because the rear cassette is loose.

ANY help at all would be appreciated

    Jordan
