Hi all,
I'm currently applying for a PhD and one of the universities I'm applying to has asked for a personal statement of about 500 words. I've applied to other universities already, but the maximum length of a personal statement required would have been about 500 characters.

So, I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on what a personal statement in support of a PhD application should include (the subject is English).
