    So what?
It's a mothers job to be worried, comes with the territory.
She will have to live with it. All mothers have to live with their children moving on and living their own lives.
At 21, you are an adult and in charge of your own life.
If you want to live and work in the UK, do it.

This type of ****e pisses me off with certain parents here, I've seen it myself. You move to the other side of the country or abroad for work and they complain how their worried, don't like the thought of you being so far away, come home.

Then the minute your back there's something else wrong. You can't win.

OP, your not useless, the problem here is your mother. She wanted you to move home, but when you do she has the absolute cheek to tell people your useless, what a bitch.

She only wanted you home to make herself feel better, does she even realize how bad things are here jobwise? Then she expects you to just walk into a job. She seems to have no cop on.

If I were you I would see about the possibility of getting that job back in the UK if it will make you happy. Then when she complains, remind her of crap she has been saying considering she was the one that made you feel so guilty for living abroad that you left your job to come home to nothing. Then tell stuff it.

It is normal that parents worry. It is not fair that she expressed these worries to you.

But on the other hand it is up to you to act like an adult and live your own life. You have to realise that your mother can't rule the rest of your life.
