    Last years thread

    Race info

A guy in the club helps organise this so I thought I'd give it a mention. It's not a race as such but more of a symbolic event but there will be a special running lane for the hard core enthusiasts. It's happening in 14 locations around the country and it's for a very good cause Pieta House, The Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm and Suicide

Did this last year with my young fella and he is already getting excited about doing it again.

This is a well run event and worth doing as its supports a very worthy charity. Glad to see extra locations added this year so others can partake.

Ran it in Dublin. First time for me. Cycled down for 3:45 or so and then heard that it wasn't starting until 4:30.

I ran it in 20m31s (got stuck behind loads at the start). Measured it at 5.35km but not bothered at all by that. The event is certainly something different.

I didn't need a torch as your eyes adjust to the darkness and the sun was getting ready to appear.

After the run it was cool to look back down Acres Road and see a stream of yellow tshirts.

Back in bed by 5:20 but woken by my boys at 7:20. Ah well.

I did it last year and again this morning in the Phoenix Park.

Great event for a great cause. First run since Belfast marathon last week and my first ever TRX class last night so took it easy and did it in 25:08. Measured it as 5.35km too.... But it's not a race, and it's not really about the run as such, more what it symbolises.

Great to see such a turnout at that hour of the morning, definitely something different. There was some selection of drinks, bars and pastries afterwards... And the hot dogs were delish!!

Ran this in Dublin this morning - brought my 12 year old daughter - her first time doing this distance. Great atmosphere.
