I got this from the club secretary:

    Press Release
    Ras na N'og 2012 details
Ras na N'og 2012 will again take place in the Drogheda area on Sat and Sun April 21st and 22nd.The event will follow much the same format as previous years with 3 stages in 2 days.Saturday will see a short circuit event in the morning followed by a road stage in the afternoon.Sundays action will be a final road stage. The event now in its fifth year is now a must do event for all our youth riders, with the feedback from previous years always positive.Last year seen 120 riders signing on for the three categories with nearly 70 riders in the U16 event.Last years U16 winner Shane O Hara from Limerick c c is eligible to defend his title but is sure to face huge challenges from lots of other riders including youth olympians from last year Mark Downey and Eddie Dunbar.Last years U14 winner Michael O Loughlin from Carrick Wheelers moves up to the U16 category and should also put it up to the older lads.Others that should be in contention are Darragh Long,Dylan O Brien,Henry Cooke,Matthew Taggart,Daire Feeley, among others. The expected challenge from the UK will also pose a challenge. The U14 ras could come down to a battle between Jake Gray of East Tyrone and Adam Thatcher from Slaney with other riders such as Adam Stenson and Dion Mc Carthy worth a mention.Dylan Corkery from Kanturk last years U12 victor moves up to U14 and should cause a few problems for the others. In the U12 race you probably have to look no further than last years runner up PJ Dougan from Errigal as a pre race favourite.

The event continues to grow in popularity as the youngsters look to get their hands on one of the coveted yellow jersies and final overall victory but emphasis is always concentrated on the other riders also and they are encouraged and cheered on every step of the way and it makes them want to keep coming back for more. This is hugely important as our future senior peletons are being cultivated in events such as this.

Entry forms are now available on www.droghedawheelers.ie [racing section] and further details will also follow on the website between now and the event. For more info contact Gerard Campbell Race Organiser on 086 8192205 or gercampbell1@hotmail.com

Do you know when or where the route(s) will be made available? Would like to go down and have a look.
