I've never heard of a "4ball blitz" or any kind of "blitz" and I've no idea what it is, but I suspect it's some club trying to be clever/smart with the wording of their competition, best bet is to give them a call and ask what exactly it is.

Wow, what a crap format, can't see why people would want to play that, would be better off with a 6 hole singles competition for the amount of golf you'd play.

As far as I know a 3 ball waltz is 3 man team where there is one score to count at the first, two at the second, three at the third, one at the fourth etc.
Hence the name 3 ball waltz....1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3!!!!

Ah I see, that's a four man/person scramble not a fourball, a fourball is where each indivdual plays their own ball.
As suspected the club in question is trying to get "fancy" with the competition title just for the sake of it.

Jaysus FdP ! Of all people, I thought you would be open for some alternative formats. It's just a bit of craic, golf is good for the old socializing too. ;)
