    Hi,

Anyone know were I could get some spare slats for a bed? Kids broke some this morning jumping on the bed.

Is there a particular type of wood used and maybe I could buy from B&Q???

    I'm based in Dublin southside.

    Cheers,

    Brian

you can use any kind of timber its usually around 4 or 5 inch wide by 1 inch thick,
i'm not familiar with b&q as there is none local but i'd imagine they would stock something along the lines of what your looking for.

We replaced one bed with a sheet of 3/4 inch ply sheet.
    No bother since.

just use 3x1 planed, cut to the appropriate length....

Might be no harm to lift the existing ones and space them closer together also - Definitely cant have too many, but could have too few

Thanks to all for the advice.

In the end I popped down to B&Q and they cut a few pieces of timber for me which worked a treat.

Good nights rest was had by all :)
