The old timers used to say you can hunt rabbit when there is an r in the month. I generally stop after St Patrick's day unless there is a spot plagued with them and I am asked to thin them out. I will pop off a few during the summer for magpie traps and the like. But serious rabbiting will not be on the cards until September.

It's nice to hear people talking with a bit of sense. There are two lads around here who will be killing them all summer long:mad: and no, they haven't been asked to by any farmers. Just a pair of tossers who don't care about those of use who hunt them for the pot.
