    Hi,

I'm looking to play one of Rathcore, Moyvalley or New Forest.

    Which can you recommend?

    Thanks

All 3 are well worth playing. Water in play on all three courses, Rathcore and New Forest are tight off the tee on certain holes, depending on how the fescue grass is in Moyvalley you can get away with more off the tee. My choice would be Rathcore, you have to use nearly every club in your bag there. Its not a driver off every tee and you have to think your way around the course more. Which ever one if the three you pick you'll enjoy your round.

there's a ton of recommendations on other posts here. But here's my 2c:
beginners - dont play rathcore (yet)
experienced - dont go near moyvalley (ever)

Get yourself to Rathcore, quality course. Bit wet in the winter but after the recent weather I'd say it's in great shape. Lads say it's a bit short but there's some strong par 4s out there, particularly on the back nine. Personally, I reckon Moyvalley is pants. Like a big open field in places. New Forest not a bad choice. The stresses of the world, ha? Household charge, Bertie, Rathcore or New Forest....

I'm a member in Rathcore and I agree with the above. Never played New Forest but Rathcore beats Moyvalley every time. Course is in great shape at the moment too.

    Enjoy it wherever you go.

I live in Athlone and when arranging to play golf with a friend from Dublin last Saturday, chose Rathcore ahead of the other 2 even though I'd be driving past them.

Rathcore was in good condition for March. Greens seemed to have been hollow tined 2/3 weeks before.

Never played Rathcore, but have to say I loved New Forest - its now one of my favourites.

I have only played New Forest and like it, tough enough course.
