    Hi,

Well my T90 arrived, but noticed using the wf web calc, when I have 28 and 19 on the rail, using the standard holders it looks like you can't fit in 16 or 26. Is this why people use custom holders ?

oh, btw. yes it is bigger than you imagine :D

hi, i have a t90 with east: 28,19,16,13,10/9,7,5 and a few west as well.

i didnt try 26e as it is at the edge of my dish and i think it would be difficult to get a signal.

i had a bit of trouble with 9e, 7e and 5e. i ended up using an alps lnb for 7e and using a homemade bracket.

19e 16e and 13e worked ok with the original holders and normal lnb's.

thanks, can I ask which sat did you center on ? I've center'd on the one according to the wf calc site (imaginary 11.5) but when I put on the holders for 19 and 16 they touch each other (and dont sit on the rail where they should). I do have a slimline lnb for 16.

wondering when I mount it up later will I still get 19/16 when I start the tuning process.

as a matter of interest. can anyone explain why satellite beams are so precise, it is as if they were coming in single pencil beams to every dish, and the lnb had to be pointing exactly toward that beam as it reflected off the dish

Primarily because you are pointing at something the size of a mini-bus 36,000km away in space.
The signal strength is extremely weak and optimum alignment is required.

i centered on 1w and extended the arm out to get 28e, 19e would be at the end of the original rail that came with the dish.

the brackets were touching each other but it didnt seem to affect the reception an any of the 3 (19, 16 or 13 east)

i didnt have to use a slimline lnb for 16 either, i'll try and get a picture, maybe over the weekend, and you can see the spacing between the lnb's.

    thanks for the replies.
Another quick q on the holders. Putting them on it seems you can really only slide them in from the side. If you wanted to add another sat later on, would the only option to be rearrange all the holders along the way. I don't think they would click down onto the rail?

i had to slide them on same as you, i tried to clip one of them on but i thought it was going to break so i left it. i put all the holders i had on the rail (around 15) and put the lnb's in as i set them up.

the picture below shows some home made brackets which look a lot better than the original ones but i just used the ones i had as i was too lazy to get someone to make me up some. onec they were setup i've left well enough alone.

the picture below isn't my dish. i'll get pictures up hopefully during the week.
