Hi all, i visited Len in Limerick, based on reviews i've read here and on other forums. I visited a week ago, i found Len very pleasant, he gave me a reading, took about an hour and 15mins and he charged €40.
He started off by telling me a small bit about my past etc, it was very generic and maybe could apply to anyone, he asked me did i think about travelling and told me id move abroad next year, yet again, very generic for a man in his late 20s, he went through the months of the year, told me about "opportunities" to be aware of and make decisions based on my "strong sense of intuition". A lot of what he told me re. my work was wide off the mark, i felt he had said some things about my character which i thought my be applicable but on reflection were very generic.
either way, i left with an open mind and he gave me a recording of the reading.
A week later, a close friend visited, a female of similar age to me but we have very different personalities and both have different careers and both of us see different futures for ourselves, however, Len told this lady almost practically word for word what he had told me, i listened to her tape and the similarities were uncanny, even down to the phrases he used, its like he learned off a script and then regurgitated it.
as i said, he was a very nice and friendly man, but i really do feel, especially after what he said to my friend that he is a conman.

I was wondering has anybody else here have any similar experiences as i have had with Len?

I had a chat with my cousin and her friend, who both visited this guy (separately) during the last two years or so, and I mentioned your post to them.

While they each felt he was good at the time of the readings, after thinking through the predictions he gave them now, they said that they were quite generalised and, even so, they failed to materialise within the stated timeframe.

He told both of them that they should do the Lotto between such-and-such a date because they would definitely win money. They followed through with that but neither of them won anything.

The following are a few examples of what they were told during their readings:

    * Life has been difficult at times in the past but you're entering calmer waters now.

    * You'll travel abroad a lot within the next few years.

    * You've lived many lives and, in fact, you can help many people you meet because you've been in their position yourself.

    * Your health is very good and you heal quickly (both of them are young and visibly energetic, so that was a no-brainer really).

    * You put yourself down too much (don't most Irish people do that? ;))

    * You would be better at running your own business than working for someone else and will probably be self-employed in the future.

    * You're very intuitive but you need work to satisfy that brain of yours.

    * You'll marry and have a couple of kids but you can be too independent.

    * You aren't very good at finishing what you start.

    * You'll receive answers to all the questions that have been nagging at you during the next few months, and everything will seem clearer.

I can't remember what else they said about him now, but it all seemed very generalised alright and abstract as well; stuff like, "A window of opportunity is going to open within the next couple of months where you can focus your mind to visualise and then manifest exactly what you want in your life."

He told them he did face reading as part of it all - the reading - as well and they were a bit creeped out by how much he stared into their faces for the hour or so. My cousin said, "If he 'reads' faces, then why did he spend most of the time just staring right at my eyes? That's only one facial feature." She has a point, lol.

Neither of them felt he was relating information he had 'picked up' from that face reading stuff regardless, so maybe the face reading is a convenient excuse for an auld fella to stare at girls? :pac:

It's a good job they still had the tapes of the reading to go back over it with a fresher, more 'enlightened' perspective. They said that he wasn't able to tell them anything specific about them and their lives to date, which they had noticed at the time. Anyway, it sounds like this Len bloke is taking the p!ss and has been taking the p!ss for some time.

Personally, I only think a reader is the real deal when they can give you information that they couldn't have known via conventional means. If a reader can't tell someone basic, specific details about their past alone, then they can't be much good.

Having said that, I know people have said that Eddie Christian in Dublin knew so much about their pasts that they were sure his predictions would be on-target too (but they weren't). I haven't ever tried out a reading from Christian, or known anyone who's been to him, so I don't know for sure about that.

The only readers who I thought were excellent were Dympna Hughes (mediumship- and predictions-wise), Billy Martin, Rory Bates (he had details about my past and present, and several of his predictons have turned out to be correct and on time so far), and Peter Matthew (for mediumship only).

I've heard through three people and one person respectively that Noel O'Shea and Betty Palko are very good too.

yes, he told us both what he said to your friends, about living many lives and we're "masters" and v intuitive, we should run our own business, we dont finish what we start, heal quickly, have long lives, told me i'd win the lotto....
the more i hear, the more im sure that he is just a chancer, ive been tempted to ring him and have it out with him, he has really annoyed me.

I know, sure it's shameful that this bloke is spinning a web of sh!te in his readings for people. My impression initially was that he was good because of what my cousin and her friend had said before - plus they were also waiting to see how the predictions side of things panned out - but they only 'woke up' after I repeated what you said he had told you in your own reading. Not only did they realise that the predictions given by him within a two-year timeframe hadn't come to pass at all, but many of the things he said to one of them were near-identical to what he had said to the other one (and to you, too).

It's always worthwhile for people to post about what such-and-such a reader told them (if only in general terms) because, that way, people can ferret out the (few) genuine readers from the bare-faced chancers, i.e. Len. At the same time, if that fella had told me the sort of things he had told each of them (and yourself) at that time, I would have came away thinking it was just generalised, universally-applicable bullsh!t myself.

I'm only interested in, and impressed by, specific, accurate details they couldn't have known via conventional means - if I want generalisations, I'll sign up for Mystic Meg's daily horoscope alerts instead.

Speaking of generalisations given in readings, that has come up a lot RE: the White Witch in Cobh over the last few years. Loads of people have been told things like, how they'll move to Canada, live beside water, live in a big house, get married, have a son who'll be in a European Army, own a bit of property, and should partake in online dating and buy the book 'The Secret'.

I don't know if she's made those generalised predictions/nuggets of info intentionally, or what, - she hasn't struck me as the calculating type because she always seems distracted - but it doesn't do her reputation any favours.

I don't think she's a fraud though because she has known very specific things about people I know - things that they sometimes hadn't known themselves yet at that time - which she couldn't possibly have guessed. All the while, she has got a lot wrong about them and their lives. She's a hard one to make out.

You could send your man Len a postcard of a black sock*, saying:

"I'm unique because I can keep a body part warm.

I can be stretched to fit.

    I go with everything.

I can be useful for many different people.

In fact, I'm about as unique as your readings.

    Sock that, Len!"

    * In no way do I condone abusive behaviour against dodgy psychics. Socks should be used for other, more important, purposes.

I only found this forum tonight and was in with Len last week. I guess I should have done more research but I didn’t and only i am to blame for been fooled. I had previously come across other posts that said great things about him.

But now iv found the truth. Basically the majority of what previous posters have stated on this particular post was also what he told me. There was nothing at all specific. He continually repeated or contradicted himself.
I’m going to be so successful, travel a lot but return to Ireland, need to learn to follow my own intuition, I never finish what I start, I need to have a career around people, sees me having a career in politics or writing
Peg and Ann apparently trying to come to me I have no one who has passed on by those names.
Oh there was also a significance meaning to shoes.
    What a load of crap
He gives a bad name to physics, there are clearly some really genuine ones out there, and they are few and far between.
I have also been to another whose name is Kate from croom she was unbelievable. She’s was spot on and a lot of what she stated only I myself would have known.

Len is a con man who has a prerehersed spiel for everyone.

he said the same to me almost a year ago, trust me intuition, i have lived many lives, i dont finish what i start, im very creative, i should start my own business, im very good with my hands....all rubbish - told me when id win the lotto, said he knew for years when he would win the lotto, but got his dates mixed up and missed out - what a load of crap....

i compared the tape recording he gave me with somebody else who went to him and it was practically the same.

if anybody else is reading this id strongly advise you not to waste your time and money, con men like Len need to be outed!

Hi, I went to see him while in Limerick last summer. He started off saying I would probably get married in the next year or so. I told him I had been married for years already at that stage. He then told me that I would start a family in May. I already had a child. (As it happened, I did get pregnant soon after and was due in May but lost the baby - I think that's all a coincidence though). I got a bit suspicious when he asked my star sign! He then admited he couldn't read me; he said he was getting a feeling of confusion from me. He didn't charge me but asked me to come back to him six weeks later, which I did not. Basically, I think he looked at me, saw a young woman and stereotyped me - he thought I would just be interested in marriage and babies. As it happened, everything at home was great, but I had loads of questions about my career. I am just grateful he didn't charge.

tiamiria - Thanks for posting feedback. As you said, it's a pity you didn't see this thread sooner, before your money was wasted on the eejit.

Those other posts you had read beforehand, where people were saying he was great, were probably written by Len himself, or by his family and friends (that's if he has any - the long hours demanded by such con artistry must leave little time for friendships :P).

KCC - He wouldn't have been the first psychic to stereotype (or 'cold read') you and then use those visual cues to fail to feed you typically universally applicable info. At least no money changed hands though, so you had the upper hand there. :)
