Purchasing a Stock Bull for the first time

    I've increased my suckler number over the last two years from about 12 cows to 20 this year ( massive farmer I know :D) I also work 40 hours a week in a factory. Time is precious and this year I just seem to be out after the cows every evening bringing them from the feild to the crush.

    I'm considering purchasing a CH stock bull maybe next year, would 20 cows justify a €3000 bull ?

    cows are mostly lim x and sim x cows

    Would ye have any tips for a lad who never had a bull on their farm before ? :o
