I am sure this question has been asked and answered numerous times but I am going to get a bike on the cycle to work scheme and I want to know what is the best bike available in Ireland for under €1000.

My shortlist so far is:
Boardman Road Comp 2011/2012 in Halfords for €999
Viking Roubaix in wheelworx for €999
Giant Defy 2 in cyclesuperstore for €965

I am a long time cycling enthusiast but only getting back on the bike now after many years away from it. I will use the bike to ride to work 10km there and back and go out of a weekend with a few mates for a 50 or 60km spin.

Any advice is welcomed!!!
