I am currently working on contract basis. What I am wondering is if I have a break in my employment after this contract ends will I be entitled to JB or will it be means tested? I know my entitlements this year will be based on 2010 credits but do they completely ignore credits from other years?

You are required to have 39 cons in 2010 or a minimum of 26 in '09 & '10 to qualify for JB in 2012. If you don't have this you would have to apply for Jobseekers Allowance. If you contact your local office they can tell you if you qualify for JB in 2012.
