    Hi,

I have a freesat box that I got in England about 2 years ago and an Aldi box from a few years ago. I have since moved to Canada, living centrally.

What are the chances of getting a signal over here to get European/English tv channels?

    Thanks,

    Sadly, you cannot recieve Freesat.
A person in Europe cant pick up something from North America on a satellite dish and vice-versa. Due to the horizon.

So the only way you'll watch things is to stream or download from the net mate.

maybe something like i-portal.me would allow you to watch the 'catch up tv ' services (eg.BBC i-player etc.) on your computer.

Yeah live tv from the UK and Ireland isnt straightforward to get but if you get familiar with downloading torrents from sites like superseeds you will be able to stream TV shows to your main TV using a device like Apple TV or Boxee Box. Its easy once you get the hang of it
