Wheelies Skids and Your Chain Coming Off

Out on the bike today and just thinking what cycling was like as a kid. Doing skids in the stones, back pedaling for brakes, cycling with no hands, cycling doing wheelies, pedals hitting the backs of your leg and your chain always coming off.

Brought back stuff I had completely forgotten about.

I Still do alot of that. Skids and bunny hops on my MTB if off roading.

Riding no handed on my road bike if trying to take off/on rain jacket.

    Must cyclists would as well.

what brings back memories for me is the fact that my knee is screwed cause i was showing of and doing no hands things..

so i tried letting my booth my legs go as well and ended up falling to once side bouncing my knee of the cross bar and my tenants and ligs in my right knee...

and at 30 years of age there still in bits :(

The best was building ramps with bricks and a plank for wood. Starting from down the road, building up as much speed as you can and having your home made mega ramp fall apart the second you hit it while gaining a few inches of air.

Oh oh or ET's. Got one off my mate, booting i down a hill. He jams on the brakes and i got more air than i ever did with my mega ramp. A few extra cuts and bumps though :(

Title sounds like a sitcom waiting to be written.

It's about three amateur BMX people and the ins and outs of their lives. Throw in a dog named Jaspa and you're on your way.

my oul fella made my bike out of spare parts, there was no breaks so i had to put my foot on the back wheel to stop her.
I went down the hill from the Hellfire Club and wrecked myself of a wall.
    Good times.
The best thing about bikes back in the day? reflectors you got with cornflakes and those little colored balls that made a tinkle as you went along :D

Reverend Mother says to the nuns, that if they didn't stop fighting over the bike, she would put the saddle back on it. . .

still cycle like I did when I was a youngster. as in, a dangerous lunatic, everyday.

skateboarding for me was where it was at. its also the reason why I have 2 fake front teeth, which cost a ****ing fortune, and my right hand doesn't work properly anymore. I'm also covered in very big scars, head to toe. I obviously wasn't very good at it :o
