Humax Foxsat - No Signal of late

Have had the Humax running very well for over to years now but over the last number of days it has been losing the signal. Generally around evening time and coming back after a few hours. At the moment though looking at a blank screen - no signal showing within the diagnostics.

Have an old Sky box running off the same dish and it is working fine.

Wondering if anyone else is having similar problems? Any thoughts as to the cause? Environmental?

try installing it where you have the sky box at present.

Are there 2 feeds coming in off a Quad LNB ?

    Yep.

Just checked it on t'other (Sky box) line - signal fine. So have just hooked it back up to it's usual lines and, after tightening some connections on the cables coming from the dish, it's got the signal back! Hurrah!

Something must have loosened the connections or some such (ironing board sitting on top of them for instance).

Anyway, thanks all - particularly John mac for pointing out the bleeding obvious to me :D
