Why no VRT on this jeep???

    I came across this add on DD. Is she correct in saying no VRT?? I thought that all cars/jeeps imported from the north you had to pay VRT on!

    Plus I think it's a tad overpriced but if anyone else has any thoughts all would be grateful!!!

    It may have previously been registered in the republic. Don't take a vendor's word for this.

    Make sure you get the VIN number so you can check the vehicle against the file in Shannon.

    The fact that its likely clocked in miles (going on the ad) would suggest uk model?


    Also, it's an XE model, which I don't think is an Irish spec.

    XE was available in ireland, also those 16" alloys are the irish ones

    Unless it's original Irish reg car being imported back into the ROI, it's liable for VRT.

    entirely possible it was originally irish.

    details from the log book and a call to shannon would verify
