So I've torn something or other in my knee and will be laid up for the next week or so, yay, lucky me. On the plus side, this is the perfect time for reading some books, so does anyone have any pop med/pop biomed they'd like to recommend?

I read ray porter's blood and guts last year, which was an interesting summary of medical history (including a chapter dedicated to teh awesome laboratory scientist :) ).

So anything interesting, pitched at a semi-trained level, would be awesome! (ie not too basic introduction but not textbook level of tough either).

    Thanks!
