Android to iPhone transition?

So: my current cheap Android phone is clearly insufficient - mostly very slow, no major bugs, and one of the hardware buttons stopped working after I dropped it in the bath.

I am tempted to buy an iPhone but I don't want to have to learn again how to download, sync, operate the thing.

Has anyone here transitioned from an Android to an iPhone? How painful was it? And can anyone recommend an Android alternative to an iPhone (with the same processing power and general specs)?

I would mostly appreciate a phone where I don't have to slide my finger on a touchscreen to answer a call - a hardware button would be much preferred.

Do you know if there are any Androids that have that feature? Otherwise it's back to square one.

Some of the samsungs I think do. The mini for example.
Not higher end phones. Most higher end just use touch screen and have very little hardware controls.

The Galaxy S2 has an option to answer calls by pressing the home key. It's off by default but is easy to turn on in Settings\Call\Call Answering/Ending
