Clipless pedals: Shimano 105 or Look Keo Easy?

Looking at getting a new set of clipless pedals and am torn between these two, would be interested to hear if anyone has had experience with both and what they thought of them in comparison.

Had originally planned to go for the shimano 105 pedals (to match the groupset on the bike ) but the keo easy pedals are coming in at the same price and are a shade lighter, albeit without the ability to adjust spring tension (although this has never been an issue with my current pedals). Are the keo easy pedals more comparable to the entry level shimano spd-sl pedals?

I would go with the Shimano 105 pedal. They provide a larger platform so when you are on longer spins it will spread the pressure out better and have a more solid base. The main thing though is that the Shimano pedal is metal while the Keo Easy are a plastic composite so they will flex under weight/pressure, especially if you are over 65kg.

If you are looking for a more solid pedal go for the 105's. I also find that the bearings are a lot more bombproof in shimano pedals.

I got Shimano 105 as my very first set of pedals only a couple of months back
I got them for asthetic reasons to match the groupset, but they turned out perfect and I find them very easy to use

I switched from Shimano R540 to both Look Easy and Look Classic and noticed no difference in terms of use, engagement, stiffness. I changed because the bearings went in the Shimano pedals in less than 12 months use. I've had no problems with either of the Look pedals on my bikes.

The negative in terms of Look in my opinion is their cleats, which don't last as long as Shimano.

I'm a Look user, but between Keo Easy's and 105's, I'd go for 105's. 105's are the equivalent of Keo Classics. Both will work, but the 105's would be the better overall pedal.

For most people, the way in which Shimano spd-sl's and Look Keo's work is more or less the same; they are mechanically similar and are both quality products. The occasional user has a strong preference, but most are happy with either. They would be quite different in how they feel to, say, Time's or Speedplay's.

I have Shimmy 105's and find them great. Not a problem at all from them since the day I bought them. I used to have Keo's and the reason why i'd stay where I am now is that the keo cleats don't last anywhere near as long as Shimmy's.
