    Hi All,

Am going to Rome to shoot a friends wedding next month, I'd ideally like to get the pics off the cards at the end of the day and onto a hard drive or something. Does anyone know of a clever/lightweight/cheap solution to this to save me trying to bring my laptop over? Is there some box you can insert an SD card into and it will copy the contents?

Also I think it would be prudent to keep the pics on the sd card also, so there are two copies at all times.

Old skool was a photo storage device.

They are expensive, and not a huge amount of diskspace for the price. If you have a netbook, it's easier to get a 500GB external disk for €50- €60.

You might find a PSD on eBay or adverts.ie.

I use a P3000 for this, similar to Steve's but smaller amount of storage. Great device and the screen is epic on it. What about a netbook?

I have a very lightweight notebook, maybe I'm as well off packing that in my carry on wrapped up in something, don't have a bag big enough to fit gear & notebook though.

Don't really fancy spending too much money either, as the gig is unpaid.

My plan is to use the dual slots in the camera to take 2 copies (instead of overflow), then copy another set into storage (laptop/external HD) and then bring the whole shooting match home.

Won't be hitting 'delete' at all until the photos are safely processed.

I have 6x16gb sd cards, which should be enough for 2700 uncompressed RAWs, from camera 1 (2 copies of 1350 pics) and 3x8gb for camera 2 which should be enough for 2400 uncompressed RAWs from camera 2 (only one slot in camera 2 though).

I hope that should be enough - am I missing anything do you think? I reckon I'd be doing well to expose 1000 over the course of the day on c1, and probably no more than about 300 on c2, but you never know.
