Dentures Covered by GMS Card?

    Hi,

I recently had to have several extractions and need dentures. Now, my dentist (who was a very nice man and did a fantastic job) quoted me €475.

Now, after looking around online and it seems to that dentures are something that are covered by the GMS Card.

Any idea what is going on here and how best to proceed. Any help or advice here would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

unfortunately it's not up to you or your dentist if you're entitled to get dentures on the medical card. you dentist would have to state your case to the local dental officer, and if the funds are there, then you may get them.
however, if you're in an area where funding for dentistry is low, then your dentist may know that you just won't be approved.
