    http://www.neoseeker.com/news/18683-call-of-dutys-robert-bowling-resigns-from-infinity-ward-activision/
Robert Bowling is a name most gamers are completely familiar with, given his ongoing involvement in one of the most successful franchises of all time, Call of Duty. Well, all that has changed, as less than 30 minutes ago, Bowling announced his resignation from Infinity Ward and Activision.

Talk about an industry-shaking development. The announcement comes by way of Bowling's very own Twitter, and his message doesn't even eat up the entire 140 character limit. His tweet reads:

"Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision."

Absolutely no reasons were given before or after the post, but we all have our theories. Regardless of what they might be, Bowling's departure can't be good news for the Call of Duty series.

lol idiotic statement is beyond idiotic

Haha but now who can I blame all my problems on. Even when other games screw me over I still blame Bobby Bowling

Jeez thats himself and JD2020 leaving, in fairness the amount of abuse leveled at him on twitter was pretty bad I see Respawn tweeted that Bowling wasn't going to replace their community manager, but they did not say he wouldn't be joining them.

I'd completely agree with the statement. Given there were no indications at all that he was leaving. He tweeted just a few days back when he was going to the Bafta's that as long as he's with IW Craig Fairbrass (voice of Ghost) will have a role in Call of Duty's. So as of then it would appear he was planning to stay a while.

Now completely out of the blue he resigns? Either his twitter was hacked or Activision have done something so bad that he would quit in the very middle of his games life cycle. Something even he couldn't stomach, which I can't think what it could be.

Most stayed. Personally, I had a vision for what i wanted to see MW3 become, so i stayed to see that through

Shiver just went down my spine

Can't really blame him for everything, I really doubt he had that much say in the "Creative" side of the game. Activision wanted more of the same (In regards to MW2, both gameplay wise and sales wise). He did say its going to be more gun on gun... and in a way it is.. at least compared to MW2 (There are more killstreaks yes.. but how many people actually use assault streaks ? Compared to MW2 where EVERYONE used them). Most of the problems for me with MW3 are map and design based, which isn't really his area.

Also pretty sure he worked on CoD4, so its not like hes completely ****e at his job.. maybe he just needs a bit of freedom so he doesn't have to lie !

He does have a very punchable face tho :D
