Saorview in UK

    Hi All. Sorry if this wins dumb question of the day but hey ho.If you had a saorview enabled TV in the UK and connected to a sky dish would it get RTE and other Irish stations. Tx Quiggers

    Saorview is a terrestrial service. It is received with an aerial.

    saorsat is a satellite service that will transmit rte channels but i believe the footprint is very narrow and not meant for reception in uk

    Don't forget Northern Ireland is part of the UK. Presumably, OP you are referring to 'mainland' UK?

    Not true, it can be got in parts of Cornwall/Devon and West Wales, so more like 99% cannot get Saorsat in Great Britain.
