Newbie cyclist - Ladies Hybrid - suggestions

Want to begin cycling - mostly for fitness (I'm not going to be racing, just nightly, not too strenous, type cycles) and some runs to the shop/town. So I think a hybrid is probably best?
My local shop has this Klondyke Ladies Hybrid for €239 http://www.bikesbikesbikesuk.com/product.php?id=69 - anyone have any thoughts on this or know of a better ladies hyrbid for about the same price?
    Thanks

    Hi ally,

I started with a similar bike...a viking versilles hybrid, however i have just upgraded to a proper road bike and the difference is night and day. It was a good starter, but i quickly wanted a proper road bike.

I'm not going to be racing either (unless it is for last place:o) however i am doing a few sportives for charity and fun. It is easy to be bitten by the cycling bug and want to do more than just cycle to the shops etc. My road bike is much lighter than the hybrid and it makes a huge difference. If you want a bike for fitness i would really look at a road bike, or at least a flat bar bike. Not sure if you were planning on using the cycle to work scheme, but if you are don't use it for the hybrid (like i did). It just means you will have to fork over all the big dollars when you decide to upgrade:(
