    so...anybody watch it this morning?

I watched Something for the Weekend avidly on BBC2 for years so was delighted when after the axing of the show they moved it to Ch4...have read on digitalspy forums some criticism which in part I agree with..the set being a bit garish, the lack of a female presenter...hopefully it'll set into a rhythm that suits better..any other opinions out there?

Redknapp was hopeless, Amanda Byram, when she was on it was good, and seemed to have a personality, something lacking from Redknapp and the scottish woman before her, who Lovejoy didn't appear to like much. All very more of the same really, won't be tuning in regularly but its watchable enough, as was something for the weekend.

Watched SFTW nearly every week, cannot understand why they have messed with the format, not as impressed with the new format, hopefully they can tweak the revised format over the next few weeks.

#1.The Studio Set is way too bright for a Sunday morning show, there was nothing wrong with the last one. (too much colours and clashing colours, what the hell did they do to the kitchen, the fridge magnet pictures etc...)

#2. Get a female presenter to leave Rimmer behind the cooker, and create some balance with Lovejoy, (Louise was hopeless but could always give you a laugh and she did provide some hilarious cooking moments, Amanda Byram and Alex Jones were very good co hosts and provided good banter).

#3. Leave the celebs in the background until required, they don't need to sit around the table from the start and then cut to picture of Celeb showing no interest.

#4 Where was Wayne and his cocktails !

#5 Whats the deal with cutting away to pictures, list of music etc, deja view was much better.

Had to watch on Sky+ as the Grand Prix overran, however its great to see the show saved by channel four but the reason it was so popular was because it was a very simple show.

They need to remember why the original was so successful and get back to what they were good at.

SFTW was on BBC and finished for good. This is a new show on Channel 4 on Sunday mornings. Granted its a cookery programme but its not the same show.

I guess they couldn't keep the exact same format as it was different stations. They could do a "cookery and chat" show but all the other specifics of SFTW wouldn't have been allowed.

I only came in half way through last week. It was alright. I do prefer the BBC format though.

And I actually liked Louise Redknapp on the show. She wasn't that polished at interviewing but she seemed a very normal type of person that was more relatable than those more experienced.

I loved SFTW, and have to admit I loved Louise. I thought she was funny, honest didn't take herself seriously and always looked nice and relaxed on a Sunday morning. Didn't like Amanda Byram at all on it,thought she was ott. Won't be watching this, not a huge fan of Simon Rimmer and couldn't manage an overload of him on a Sunday morning. Shame really.
