Malaysia...rain at the start, red flag, surprise winner, favourites struggling....it had it all in many ways but I think that the red flag in bad conditions will, once again, have disappointed a lot of people. Good to see Alonso get a win despite a pig of a Ferrari, great to see Sauber on the podium even if its tinged with a feeling that they could have won the race.

What did you think of the race?

I'm giving it a 1 because I think Perez deliberately ran off the track to avoid having to challenge Alonso. If it was a football game there would be accusations of it being rigged. The red flags didnt help either - whats the point of full wet tyres.

I thought these huge wide run off areas built by Tilke were supposed to deal with this problem. Not so obviously.

    7 for me.

Let down by the farcical wet / stop race situation yet again, just let them go racing on wets (ok probably too heavy for a while but still)

The end was a bit dull to once Perez went off, but up to that it was really interesting with the tyres, drying track, nervous cars and great chase down by Perez and Alonso somehow getting out in front.

It was a bit hectic. Red flag gave the feeling you were getting 2 races for the price of one. But no one seemed to able to do anything. You would think that in a country where you are guaranteed downpours daily, that they would have had proper cambered run off for any amount of rain.

It also had the feeling of DemonteZ phoning up mr sauber about some free engines. I want to see full on racing every lap not fuel or tyre saving.

Sky is doing my head in with all these flashy snippets and pointless repetition.

Georgie and ant in the skybox WTF.

Georgie is the carol V of f1.

Wet tyres can only do so much they have a limit to how much water they can disperse before they become useless. As for the run off area he did use it and got back onto the track. In the old days that would have been his race over.

If they had become useless he would have had to come in and change tyres and as far as I remember he didn't.
