    West Brom vs. Newcastle United

    west-bromwich-albion-logo.png?w=150&h=150newcastle-united-logo.png?w=150&h=150

    Starting Line-Ups:

    West Brom:
Foster, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Morrison, Andrews, Mulumbu, Thomas, Odemwingie, Fortune.

    Bench:
Daniels, Long, Brunt, Shorey, Dawson, Cox, Scharner.

    Newcastle United:
Krul, Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Perch, Ben Arfa, Guthrie, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Cisse, Ba.

    Bench:
Elliot, Santon, Abeid, Gosling, Shola Ameobi, Vuckic, Ferguson.

    Venue: Hawthorns
    TV: Sky Sports 1 HD

Big game for my NUFC - win would bring us level with Chelsea and 8 above Liverpool.
Win for West Brom would aid their push up the table as well.

Lot of goals scored in these affairs over the past few seasons; a lot of 3-1 results. Tip of the day surely has to be over 2.5 goals at 4/5.
NUFC priced at 3/1 for this one as well - far too big a price even without Tioté.

    Thoughts on this fixture?

    HTL!

    Nice goal from Ben Arfa.

Didn't think Newcastle would still be there at this stage of the season but fair play to them. Would be nice to see them pipping Chelsea to a European spot.

Newcastle also playing Moneyball to an extent

Krul, Coloccini, S Taylor, Santon, Marveaux, Tioté, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba and Papiss = £34.5m or Andy Carroll

    And?

the sooner S.Taylor comes back the better, I have very little faith in Williamson, doesnt look comfortable at the back at all, we need a better back up CB than him

Filthy that from Williamson. Elbow straight into the back of Long's head, he knew exactly what he was doing.

Great performance from Newcastle, completely destroyed West Brom in the first half and phased the game out in a professional manner in the second half with little difficulty besides the howler from Williamson. Roll on Liverpool next week! Hopefully Collocinni isn't too badly injured!

Ben Arfa fantastic to watch above all else - wonderful player and I don't use wonderful to describe too many players.
Certainly up there with the best in the league on his day - they couldn't get the ball of him.

Coloccini out for a couple of weeks which is a bit sickening, but Perch might just be able to manage alongside our liability that is Williamson.
    Bring on Liverpool :)
