I am looking for a nice old fashioned type fire log box, not too big to fit neatly enough beside the fireplace area which has stone feature on the chimney.

I was thinking of something good quality i.e. black wrought iron maybe or good quality basket....

Was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions, Thanks

You will get them (basket or wrought iron) cheap in Grange Builders Providers.

Alot cheaper than in Woodies anyway.

I bought this De-Ville briquette holder for 18 euro in Grange.

Woodies wanted 30 euro for the same one.

    Hi Paddy,

sorry to revive an old thread, but could you tell me where you got the hearth piece on the floor for your fireplace? We are currently doing up our living room and that is exactly what we are looking for to go on the floor under the inset stove. Thanks :-)

I got it from a fire place makers and stone/marble suppliers up the back of Stepaside,at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

I will dig their number out for you later on.:)

Sorry to butt in. I have been trying to ring Buckleys but no reply. They have also disappeared off Stovax's list of dealers. Did you manage to make contact? Thanks.
