    Hi guys,
I am currently on Jobseekers Allowance and I am getting back together with my ex for the sake of our 17 month old child, How do I go about this?
Also I am 20 and I know the age related rates don't apply but how so? How much would I be getting more than what I have at the moment(€100)?

    Thanks in advance for advice

Will your child be living with you too?

You will be claiming then for yourself, your girlfriend and your child as a family unit. As you have a dependent child, the reduced rate Jobseeker's Allowance doesn't apply to you.
The full family rate is €188 personal rate, €124.80 adult dependent rate and €29.80 for your child dependent.
You don't say what your girlfriend is doing though, i.e. working or whatever, so this rate would only be if your girlfriend doesn't have her own claim or other source of income.

    Thats perfect, Thanks Cee_Jay
Do I just walk into the SW Office and say I wanna add my gf and kid to the claim?

Yup, you will probably be given a form to fill out which basically details her name PPS what she does etc. So make sure you have her PPS number and your kids one too.

This may be no good to you, but you do know that if she is in receipt of a social welfare payment, it would stop?

Actually since I let my boyf's bro use my account to ask as he couldn't be bothered to set up an account  (for some reason he thinks I am the Citizen's Information Office).

So ya I told him, His Gf is at home with her parent's atm so I don't think she'll be too badly off(If there is a wait time to get their money sorted).
