Can I put a strap-button on base of my semi-acoustic?

I have an E-J200 and the strap can't fit on the bottom with the connections so I bought a strap button but most people online only discuss putting a strap button on the neck not the bottom. Help?

I had same problem with my electroacoustic Morris.
I've bought a fender strap button and fix one on the neck bottom beside body without any sound lost.( I hate a strap on the nut :mad: )

The bottom strap pin is also the input jack for the cable, so you'd have to de-solder it and find a new one.
