    Cuz 2 fields across gets eircom broadband and im stuck this this 15gb a month dl limit O2 sh*te :(

    buy a massive roll of cat6 and offer to subsidise the crowd 2 fields across. If you slow ethernet down to 10mbit you can get a good distance out of it. If you have line of sight you might get away with wifi + tin can antenna

    bad internet here is down to a few monopolies like Eircom abusing their position. Bringing in ADSL1 when most of the world has already forgot about it, probably using discount/surplus equipment but there is also a lack of community effort - rolls of cat6 being used to wire up houses just outside the reach of the exchange and that.

    in England some farmers are digging their own trenches to ditch fibre optic cables in and sorting it themselves. Waiting for the power that be to solve things like this is rarely a good idea
