For those down West there's an 8km race on Sunday April 15th @ 12pm in my home village of Belcarra (6 miles South of Castlebar) in Central Mayo.

This is the first hosting of this event and the race costs €15 with all funds going towards the renovation of the local sports centre.

The course is pretty flat throughout with the odd slight undulation but still very agreeable to PB setting.

Registration is only available on the morning of the race from 9:30 til 11:30 and the race kicks off at 12pm.

Post race refreshments and prize giving will take place in Belcarra community centre (Only a few metres from the finish line).

So, spread the word!!

(Despite my username I am not involved with the running of this event but if there are any questions I should be able to get feedback from the organisers.)
